We are looking for part-time Housekeeping Assistants to join our vibrant team at our flagship Activity Centre, Condover Hall which is based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This is a seasonal vacancy to start from now until mid-November 2023 with the option to return for the 2024 season.
What will I be doing?
- Cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms
- Cleaning communal areas of Condover Hall
- Maintaining cleanliness and health & safety standards
- Ensuring the storerooms are stocked with necessary linens, guest supplies and cleaning equipment
- Helping to decorate the centre for events
- Working in a fast-paced and often physically demanding environment on our busy guest turn around days
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work on own initiative and happy to try new things
- A team player – but also happy to work as an individual
- Reliable and responsible
- Previous experience working in a housekeeping or cleaning position is desirable but not essential.

- This role is paid at up to £10.42 per hour
- The role is to be based at JCA’s flagship activity centre, Condover Hall, Shrewsbury
- This role is from now to November 2023
- Part-time – 16 to 32 hours per week contracts available
- The role will involve working weekends
- Usual working hours are 8am – 4.30pm
- Evening shifts also available
- Full training will be provided including Health and Safety & Safeguarding.
- Role progression and the chance to return for the next season
- Accommodation is not available so you will need your own transport to travel to Condover Hall due to the location
