What will I be doing?
We currently operate 5 seasonal outdoor activity centres in varying locations throughout the UK offering a combination of either one day or residential multi-activity courses from 2-4 night durations.
Each of our courses promote educational and personal development in-line with the national curriculum and of course, fun!
As a Centre Manager your main responsibility will be to oversee our activities team. You will be responsible for ensuring the activity procedures and standards are in place and meet company and governing body standards/ expectations.
As a manager in our business, your personal knowledge and technical expertise will assist you to coach, develop and performance manage your centre team consistently. Additionally you’ll think creatively and monitor weekly feedback from our visiting guests, address any issues and championing staff that excel to ensure we provide excellent customer service and standards to deliver outstanding results.

- Full UK Driving licence
We are looking for someone who has a passion for customer service and experience in managing a large team.
Training will be provided however, ideally we are looking for someone who has experience working in the outdoors industry and has qualifications to support this.
Leading by example and being able to be diplomatic, yet assertive and decisive is key.
This role is a residential position and therefore you will need to be comfortable with living away from home, we encourage a friendly, social atmosphere in our centres – a lot of our staff who have worked for us have made life long friends!
I joined JCA in 2012 as activity instructor until 2013, since then I have worked in a number of roles, currently I am the Centre Manger for our seasonal centre Mill Rythe.
Favourite part of the job
My favourite part of the job is meeting lots of new people and knowing that no 2 days will be the same.
Best work memory
My favourite work memory would be my first season with JCA and getting to work at 6 different centres all of which are completely different in their own way.
