Steve Gardiner

Commis Chef - JCA

"JCA have given me the opportunity to develop my skills"
About Me

I have worked for JCA for 14 months!

Favorite part of the job

I’d have to say that learning new skills from the chefs around me and thinking of new dishes for the guests are a couple of the best things about my job.

Best work memory

We were treated to a staff boat trip by the management team.  This kind of incentive isn’t something I have received in any of my other roles.

Why should you join JCA?

The hours within this sector of catering are fantastic for a work/ life balance. I have been given the opportunity to develop my skills and hopefully I’ll be able to progress within the company

What qualities do you need to work a season?

You must have the desire to learn, work to better yourself and be a team player, but also have the motivation to work as an individual.
