  • Energetic and motivated
  • Have a willingness to develop
  • Confident, with a tool kit of basic catering skills
Not forgetting the formal bits!

A qualification in catering and/or professional cookery is desirable but not essential,  as is experience with preparing for high volume covers.  And of course hard working, yet efficient (means more time on the mountains!)

"I learnt more in a SkiBound kitchen than I did cooking in the UK"
About Me

My name is Ben and I’m 21 years old from Birmingham. I’m about to start my 2nd season working for Skibound as a Commis Chef,  but my 3rd time working in the Alps!

Favourite part of the job

One of my favourite aspects if working for Skibound is being able to combine two of my passions, cooking and skiing!

Best work memory

The people you work with on a season become like family, one of my greatest memories is when the team I worked with helped me to celebrate my birthday.

Why should you join Skibound?

Being able to combine two passions, cooking and skiing is what keeps me returning each year.  The environment you live and work in is fantastic, you also get the chance to work with people from all different backgrounds which helps you not only develop as a chef but also as a person!  I learnt more in a SkiBound kitchen than I did cooking in the UK.

What do you do during your time off?

In my spare time I spend my time skiing and then I hit après ski! Working within the 3 valleys gives you endless amount of slopes to explore.

What qualities do you need to work a Season?

To be a seasonnaire you need to be friendly, be punctual,  open minded and above all a team player!
