As a Commis Chef at the Chateau you will be part of a small kitchen team that produces over 60,000 quality meals per season. Reporting to the Head Chef you will work with 2 other chefs and produce high quality food for which the Chateau. You will also have the chance to impress the staff with your cooking skills during the rotational staff menu week – each chef takes it in rotation (4 weekly) to write and produce a full staff menu which should be balanced and on budget.
You will also be responsible for the upkeep of all the legal paperwork and HACCP procedures as well as being involved with order control, stock rotation and stock taking.
What are you looking for?

Good customer facing skills as well as kitchen skills are a must – you will be taking part in customer facing food activities such as BBQ’s, Crepe & Cidre nights, Cheese Tasting and many more! I initially started my career with SkiBound in the Alps for Summer 2016, I was then given the chance to move over to Travelbound’s Chateau for the remainder of the season before I return to the Alps for the Winter Ski season.
